Today, 17.04.2022, the children’s rapid tournament “Chess Spring” was held, the first for 2022 of the “Chess Seasons” Tournament Series.
In Tournament A (under 8 and under 10 years), 46 chess players participated, and in Tournament B (under 12 and under 14 years) – 34, a total of 80, which is a record for the „Chess seasons”! As in every tournament so far, there were new participants in this one as well – both absolute beginners and new strong rivals of the already established contenders for the prizes.
According to the Regulations of the „Chess seasons”, unchanged from last year, there were participation certificates for each of the competitors, the first five in each of the age groups – up to 8, 10, 12, 14 years old – in addition to the points in the general ranking for the „Chess seasons”, also received commemorative prizes. and the first three prize-winners – gold, silver and bronze medals.

The ceremonial closing of the tournament was attended by Mr. Nayden Kosev, Deputy Mayor in “Education and Culture” department , who welcomed the participants in the tournament and awarded the winners in the individual age groups.
